Alloa Meet at Peak Sports Centre Stirling

Nineteen Lanark swimmers competed at the two day Alloa Meet held at the Peak Sports Centre in Stirling.

The squad won 38 awards and posted 75 personal best times. In the 10 years and under section Justin Bone won 2 gold, 4 silver and 1 bronze medal. Ten year old Ayla Miller also struck gold.

The 11/12 years age group also enjoyed success. Euan McLeod won three “swam too fast” awards and a bronze. Anya McLaughlin won gold and silver and there was a gold and bronze for Millie McArthur.

The 13/14 year olds were also among the medals. Abbigail McArthur won one “swam too fast award”, 2 gold and 3 silver, Heather Stevenson 2 gold, Caitlyn Hamilton 2 silver, Niamh Jeffrey a silver and Connor Fallon a gold.

Three 15 years and over swimmers won awards; Erin Snow won three gold, 2 silver and a bronze, Mitchell Stevenson a gold and 2 silver and Kathleen Ramage a bronze.

After the Meet coach Karen Kelly said “The squad equipped themselves well. Many of our young swimmers had never competed over 2 days so it was a steep learning curve which they took in their stride.”
